These terms apply to the use of the Design by Rich website and provide general information about the services offered.
Specific website design projects will also be subject to the project proposal, quotation or agreement provided before work begins.
Services
Design by Rich provides website design and related digital services, including Squarespace website design and other services described on this website.
The exact scope, price and deliverables for each project will be agreed before work begins.
Pricing
Prices shown on this website are starting prices unless otherwise stated.
The final cost of a project may vary depending on its size, requirements and any additional work requested.
Any additional work outside the agreed project scope may be quoted separately.
Payment
For website design projects, a 50% deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due before the completed website is handed over or launched, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Deposits secure project time and allow work to begin.
Client content
Clients are responsible for providing the information, text, photographs, branding and other materials required to complete their website unless otherwise agreed.
Clients must ensure that they have permission to use any content they supply.
Project timescales may be affected if required content or feedback is not provided on time.
Revisions
Website packages include two rounds of revisions unless otherwise stated.
Additional revisions or work outside the original agreed scope may incur an additional charge. This will be agreed before additional work is carried out.

Estimated completion dates are provided as a guide.
Timescales depend on the client providing content, information and feedback when required. Design by Rich cannot be responsible for delays caused by late client responses, third-party services or circumstances outside reasonable control.
Squarespace and third-party costs
Unless specifically included in a quotation, clients are responsible for ongoing third-party costs associated with their website, including:
Squarespace subscriptions
Domain registration and renewal
Email services
Paid plugins or integrations
Other third-party subscriptions
These services are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms and pricing.
Website handover
Once the project has been completed and final payment received, the website will be handed over to the client along with guidance on managing it.
The client becomes responsible for the ongoing management, content and maintenance of the website after handover unless ongoing support has been agreed separately.
Intellectual property
Once full payment has been received, the client may use the completed website design and project deliverables for their business.
Unless otherwise agreed, Design by Rich retains ownership of its own working methods, reusable design elements, templates and other pre-existing materials.
Design by Rich may display completed work in its portfolio, website and promotional materials unless otherwise agreed with the client.
Website performance
Every reasonable effort will be made to create a professional, functional website.
However, Design by Rich cannot guarantee specific search engine rankings, website traffic, enquiries, sales or other commercial results.
Design by Rich is also not responsible for outages, changes or technical problems caused by Squarespace or other third-party services.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Design by Rich will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or services provided.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
